Meadow had her operation Wednesday morning. My boss let me come in late to work Thursday morning so I could bring her home. (Which was very nice of my boss because she was the one that had to cover for me.) I put out an extra comfy blanket (on the floor) and she sat in the same spot on the blanket all day Thursday. She didn't eat anything that morning. She barely ate Thursday night or this morning (only half her veggies, no pellets).
She also doesn't like her pain med. I managed to get a bit into her mouth Thursday night. So this morning I put it on a piece of banana, which worked.
Tonight I sat with her and pet her. She ate some orchard grass, pellets and oats. That's better! She also hopped around a bit, which looked uncomfortable. Oh and she flopped tonight! Right in front of me. What a treat, she never does that. It gave me a chance to see her stitches, look good, incision is clean.

Oh, sweet girl, sounds like she is coming around. I was surprised how long it seemed to take Harriet to recover. Amelia was up to her tricks almost immediately. All buns are a little different. Keep that banana coming!
I think the girls take longer than the boys. Sound good though.
RG-the foster boys didn't even get pain med from Williams! They acted like nothing happened.
Yes, my boy Nemo recovered in a about an hour. My girls did very well too. Tango wandered around the vets office with parsley hanging out of her mouth. She was still high from surgery but hungry too. I am glad Miss Meadow is feeling better.
I'm gladto hear she's feeling better
Keep getting well, Meadow!
